HARTFORD, CT (April 26, 2012) — The Connecticut Convention Center welcomes the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) to Hartford on May 8-10, 2012, as they launch their first-ever Mfg4 – Manufacturing 4 the Future – conference and exposition. Mfg4 is a new event that will alternate years with the current event, EASTEC.
Mfg4 invites all manufacturers to attend, including leading original equipment manufacturers – such as Medtronic, Remmele Medical, Sikorsky, Raytheon and GE Energy. Mfg4 represents manufacturing for the future – in four growth industries – aerospace, defense, medical, and energy. “We welcome all Northeast manufacturers to attend Mfg4, hear our speakers, and learn from industries how they are bringing efficiency and affordability to the manufacturing process,” said Debbie Holton, SME director of events and industry strategy.
SME has announced its speakers and conference sessions for the Mfg4 event. Some of the keynote speakers will include top manufacturing and executives from the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA, FuelCell Energy Inc., Institute for Trend Research (ITR), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and medical company, Accellent.
