HARTFORD, CT (May 12, 2014) – The Connecticut Convention Center was presented with a 2014 Prime Site Award by Facilities & Destinations (F&D) Magazine.  The Center is among 88 total venues announced in the 2014 F&D SuperBook issue out this month. 

Since 1991, the awards have been presented annually to the top convention and exposition centers in North America and are given out in three categories: Convention Center, Conference Centers, and Hotels & Resorts.  Throughout the year, F&D readers cast their votes through ballots provided in their print publications as well as on the publication’s website.

This is the ninth consecutive year the facility has been recognized with the accolade since opening in 2005.  “We are honored to be named as a 2014 Prime Site,” states Michael Costelli, General Manager for the Connecticut Convention Center.  “Our team takes pride in providing the highest quality service and this award speaks to our commitment to ensure that every experience at the Center is memorable.”
