HARTFORD, CT (May 7, 2012) — The Connecticut Convention Center will be hosting one of its largest events in the 140,000 square foot Exhibit Hall since the building opened in 2005. Over 250 manufacturing booths are exhibiting at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers first-ever launch of Mfg4 – Manufacturing 4 the Future – conference and exposition. The Connecticut Convention Center engineers have been working diligently over the past week to prepare for the move-in of this vast manufacturing event. The exhibit hall floor plan consists of about 250 exhibitor booths, and at least 210 of those booths have requested electricity and air services for their special machinery. Essentially, there is enough electricity generated at Mfg4 as there is consumed in a small city! Mfg4 will kick off the show with its Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 9:45 AM on Tuesday, May 8th. Cumulative attendance is expected to be about 4,000 attendees over the multiple-day event. For more information about this event, please visit the Mfg4 website.
