HARTFORD, CT (January 27, 2014)—The CFA Society Hartford will hold its Annual Forecast Dinner this Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Boulevard, Hartford CT. The CFA designation stands for “Chartered Financial Analyst”. The CFA Society Hartford members and sponsors bring various investment-related programs to investment professionals and university students in the Hartford/New Haven CT and Springfield MA area.
The dinner is the flagship event for the organization and is renowned as the premier networking event of the year among the local investment community. The event attracts over 400 of the area’s leading investment professionals and key business decision-makers. This year’s topic is “Fed-phobia” and the keynote speaker, Dan C. Roberts, PhD, Executive Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of MacKay Shields, will lead attendees in a stimulating discussion on his expectations for the Federal Reserve’s next move and the economic signals that will guide investment decision-making in 2014 and beyond. In addition, special guest, President and CEO of the CFA Institute, John Rogers, CFA, will make some introductory remarks regarding activities at the CFA Institute.
