A year before the Infinity Music Hall & Bistro is expected to open in Hartford, the venue hosted its first act at Front Street Tuesday.

Folk singer Jonathan Edwards performed his signature song, “Sunshine,” before about 100 gathered for a ceremonial groundbreaking in the space where Infinity Hall will soon start construction on a $5.2 million concert hall and bistro, its second in the state

Dan Hincks, Infinity’s founder and owner, said the venue intends to build community through music and dining.
